The blasts that occurred in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday has reportedly killed an estimated 290 people and of those, 32 of them have been identified as foreigners.

The explosions ripped through churches and luxury hotels on Sunday (April 21) morning in the first major attack on the Indian Ocean island since the end of a civil war 10 years ago.

Although the curfew after the blast has been lifted, Authorities are yet to identify those responsible for the blasts on three churches and four luxury hotels that occurred around the Capital in Colombo.

A government source said President Maithripala Sirisena, who was abroad when the attacks happened, had called a meeting of the National Security Council early on Monday.

500 people have been injured as a result of the blast.
