Watford manager, Javi Gracia has announced that club captain and striker, Troy Deeney has lost an appeal regarding the red card he received against Arsenal o Monday.
Deeney was sent off in the 11th minute of the encounter, for throwing an elbow at Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira’s face in an off-the-ball incident.
Shortly after his sending off, Arsenal’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goal of the match courtesy of a gift from the goalkeeper, Ben Foster.
Gracia, who disagreed with the referee’s decision to send off Deeney, will have to make do without the services of his inspirational skipper and striker for the next three games, including the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
