American heavyweight boxer, Jarrell Miller has denied doing anything wrong and has stated he will appeal against his license denial for his fight with Anthony Joshua.
The New York State Athletic Commission refused Miller a license to fight Anthony Joshua after he returned an ‘adverse finding’ in a drug-testing sample.
In a bid to clarify the messy situation, Miller’s team have requested his B sample be tested.
The New York State Athletic Commission’s decision to deny Miller a license to fight means Miller will miss out on a reported purse of about $5m while Anthony Joshua is left without an opponent for his US debut at the Madison Square Garden.
Joshua’s camp are looking to the likes of Michael Hunter, Cuba’s Luis Ortiz and Poland’s Adam Kownacki as potential opponents.
