Golden State Warriors’ coach, Steve Kerr, has disclosed that DeMarcus Cousins is unlikely to return during the postseason due to his injury.
The center tore his left quadriceps while with the ball during the Warriors’ Game 2 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Kerr further revealed that Cousins will not need surgery to treat the injury but will be out for a couple of months as he continues his rehabilitation.
Cousins was battling with a left achilles injury when he signed a year deal worth $5.3m with the Warriors last season and has missed several months of action.
The Warriors will be looking to Andrew Bogut and Kevon Looney to fill the void of Cousin’s absence as they look to go ahead in a series tied 1-1.
