Victor Hugo’s Classic, the Hunchback of Notre-Dame has become the top-selling book on Amazon in France in the wake of the Notre Dame building collapse.
The book which relays the story of a beautiful Esmeralda who fell in love with the Cathedral’s bell ringer Quasimodo has become a source of solace for Parisians during this time of tragedy.
The Notre-Dame Cathedral was recently razed by a fire which reportedly destroyed most of the ceiling of one of the said ‘7 Wonders of the World’
Since the occurence, notable individuals have pledged up to about £700 Million to rebuild the Cathedral.
