Manchester United has been boosted by the timely return of Alexis Sanchez for its quest to overturn a first-leg home UCL loss to Barcelona.
The Chilean has been out of action for six weeks due to a knee injury but has been named by coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer among Manchester United’s 22-man contingent for the trip to Camp Nou.
Alexis Sanchez scored 47 goals in 141 matches for Barcelona from 2011 to 2014 but has struggled to hit top form since signing for United in January 2018, scoring a meager five goals in 41 matches.
Midfielder Nemanja Matic and full-back Matteo Darmian are part of the team while Luke Shaw, despite being suspended for the tie, traveled with the team.
PSG-linked Ander Herrera and Eric Bailly were left behind at Carrington Complex.
Manchester United will hope to stage another remarkable comeback, having seen off Paris St Germain in the last 16 despite trailing by two goals at home after the first leg.
