Leicester City’s coach, Brendan Rodgers has dispelled rumours that striker Jamie Vardy will make a u-turn on his international retirement, due to Harry Kane’s injury.
Harry Kane’s ankle injury sustained against Manchester City, means the England captain will miss the Nations League finals, with some quarters calling for the experienced Vardy to return to England’s fold.
Jamie Vardy retired from national team duties last summer after the 2018 World Cup, stating that he left to make way for the youngsters to get into the national team.
