Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Tesla have reportedly engaged in what is referred to as an ‘Open Pool’ which allows for Tesla’s Electric Vehicles to be listed as part of the FCA’s fleet of vehicles.
The FCA have taken this route to reduce the average emission the vehicles emit which as at last year was about 123g of Carbon Dioxide per kilometer. This average is far above the specified 95g per kilometer allowed by the European Union.
Though the specifics of the Arrangement has not been confirmed by Tesla, the deal is estimated to be worth hundreds of Millions in Euros by the Financial Times.
FCA first applied to form an open pool with Tesla in Febuary.
