In a brief change of baton ceremony at the Force Headquarters in Igbogene, Yenagoa, the new Commander assured the people of the Niger Delta region of his resolve to adopt strategic initiative to consolidate on the achievements of the Operation Delta Safe under the leadership of the outgoing Commander.
Rear Admiral Suleiman, after handing over to the newly appointed Commander, spoke on his achievements in bringing peace to the Niger Delta region.
He also expressed confidence in the incoming Commander’s ability in containing the prevailing security threats in the region.
After receiving the flag of authority, the new Operation Delta Safe Commander pledged to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor.
The outgoing commander, who took charge of Operation Delta Safe from November 2016 before his redeployment, charged men of the Command to work harder in their task of checkmating renewed insurgency and oil theft in the region.
