Although the Ethiopian Airlines earlier ordered for 30 737 Max planes from Boeing of which 5 were delivered and Boeing has reportedly fixed the bug that caused the crash that might have been responsible for the ET302 crash and the Lion Air crash, Tewolde the Airline’s Chief Executive has explained that they may have to reconsider continuing with their order with Boeing due to stigma related to the previous crashes of the same model.
The airline recently released the details of the crash to the public after a due investigation which showed that due process was followed and the MCAS functioned abnormally during the flight resulting in the death of 157 people
Ethiopian Airlines is not alone in this decision as many other clients of Boeing have decided to reconsider the purchase of the Boeing 737 in recent weeks resulting in a $600 billion order loss for the company.
