In the resumed collation of results for Rivers state, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Nyesom Wike leads in 13 local government areas.
The Independent National Electoral Commission resumed the collation exercise 23 days after it was suspended.
The exercise was heavily guarded by the security operatives to ensure no havoc occurrence and history doesn’t repeat itself.
With the wide margin between PDP and AAC, hope for a second term for the sitting governor Wike has been rekindled.
INEC said it would resume the collation of results today.
