Residents of Shomolu / Bariga area expressed their joy as one of the notorious cultists terrorising the area has been arrested by the police.
Identified as Ogunlana Elijah, the notorious cultist has been on the wanted list of the Lagos police command following alleged killings of innocent people and rival gang members.
Surprisingly, he broke down in tears, expressing remorse over his wrong doings as he was questioned by the police.
The 28-year-old recounted to the police on how he joined the cult gang, and how many lives he singlehandedly took.
“I feel sorry for the family of the people I killed.” He said.
One other cultist arrested by the police, Kunle Osnowo claimed he had not killed anyone since he joined the community, but rather had been an actie member of the NURTW.
For 38-year- old, Kunle Osnowo, he said: “ I blame myself for everything, if I am released from police custody, I will renounce my cult association.
