A 2 year old Lola June is probaly going to be the next Picasso because as little as she is, her paintings are already going for over $1,000.
Her artwork was discovered by Pajtim Osmanaj who likened her paintings to Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell. At her tender age, Lola has held two shows at ChaShaMa art gallery and her paintings go for between $300 to $2,800.
The allure of Lola’s painting according to Osmanaj is in his words…
“Adult artists like me and everyone is like, trying to find the freedom, which we somehow lost,” he said. ” We had it when we were kids. Lola, in this time, she’s just original, she’s herself and she’s like, a free spirit of making art without being worried about the art world or what that world is saying.”
