A 77-year-old woman has graduated from the University of Lagos UNILAG. Bridget Okonji, a retiree, was among the 1,008 students of the Faculty of Education who were awarded a first degree on Tuesday at the Institution’s 2017/2018 Convocation Ceremonies.
According to Bridget Okonji, she came to the school to receive knowledge and to avoid boredom at home.
“I am a retired officer. I have worked in a lot of countries around the world and also in Nigeria, where I finally retired,” she noted.
Bridget who studied studied Guidance and Counselling was called to the podium where she was honored with a handshake and snap with the Chairman of the Governing Council of the university, Dr Wale Babalakin, Vice Chancellor, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe and other notable officers of the university during the convocation.
