Roger Federer eased past John Isner with an emphatic 6-1, 6-4 win to capture his fourth Miami Masters title and his 101st career title.
The 37-year old Swiss playing in his 50th Masters final started the final with a break in the opening game and ran away with the first set in 24 minutes.
Roger Federer struck 17 winners as his sublime groundstrokes and elegant backhand was on display all through the one hour and three minutes duration of the match.
John Isner, who had not dropped a set all through the tournament prior to the final, had treatment on his left foot in the second set when he was 4-3 down but could not rally back as Federer sealed the win for his 28th Masters title.
The win takes Roger Federer up to fourth on the world rankings.
