The South African Government contributed R60 Million of the total sum while Motsepe’s family donated the rest. The total sum has been handed to the Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister, Sibusiso Moyo yesternight.

Oppah Muchinguri, Defence and War Veterans Minister while commending the gesture attributed the cyclone to climate change and therefore urged that there is a need to always prepare for natural disasters.
