The rural Kenyan teacher who gives away most of his salary to poor pupils, Peter Tabichi has won a $1 million prize for the world’s best teacher.
He was recognized as the 2019 Varkey foundation Global Teacher Prize in dubai, where he received his award.
The competition was Hosted by Nollywood actor, Hugh Jackman. It is inaugurated to raise the status of the teaching profession.
Mr peter was nominated alongside 9,999 others from 179 countries worldwide.
