The FA has inked a deal with Barclays to become the Women’s Super League first ever title sponsor. The deal has been branded by the FA as “the biggest ever investment in UK women’s sport by a brand”.

The deal is a three-year partnership that commences from next season and is understood to be worth in excess of £10m. The league will be rebranded to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and has a prize-money pot of £500,000.

The deal will see Barclays become the lead partner of the FA Girls’ Football School Partnerships, a nationwide scheme that helps girls access football at school.
