Fg Approves ₦26bn Intervention Fund For States Affected By Conflicts, Flooding

The Federal  Executive Council has approved over eight billion Naira for intervention in states that have been affected by conflict.

The states are Adamawa, Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Zamfara, Yobe, and Borno.

This was one of the several approvals at Wednesday’s meeting of the FEC in Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

The Vice Chairman of the National Food Security Council and Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu who presented the memo at the cabinet meeting, explained that the aim of the intervention is to alleviate the plight of those displaced from their homes.

The FEC also approved over eighteen billion Naira for intervention in states that have been severely affected by flooding.
