UNICEF launches a fundraiser for Cyclone Idai victims

S. Africa, UN call support for Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi

The UN has called for support to cater to the devastating site left by the monstrous Cyclone Idia at parts of Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

The fundraiser by UNICEF USA is tagged: “You Can Make a Difference Right Now”

Also, South Africa’s International Relations and Cooperation Minister, Lindiwe Sisulu has launched an appeal for help “to make donations towards humanitarian aid for the people of Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique affected by Tropical Cyclone Idai”

South Africa also suffered an indirect Impact from the cyclone as power supply from Mozambique was left in shambles.

Although official figures are not yet known, estimates show that the death toll could be up to 200, meanwhile, the president of Mozambique says the death tolls could rise to 1000.
