Over a hundred lives were lost in Zimbabwe and Mozambique after the tropical cyclone Idia hit both Nations.
Houses and bridges were washed away by the flash floods caused by the storm, which came after high winds and dense clouds.
Rescue efforts have begun as the weather cleared and paved the way for access to the affected areas.
Mozambique’s environment minister told news reporters of the imminent rise in the death toll at the affected areas.
We will certainly end with a higher toll,” he continued.
He also added that about 80 percent of the electricity network was destroyed by the storm.
