2019 elections: Situation room calls for independent probe

The Nigerian Civil  Society Situation Room has called for an independent Inquiry into the conduct of the two thousand and nineteen General Elections.

The group, which made the call in Abuja while releasing its third interim report, demanded that the inquiry should address  issues of   logistics management, role of the military and abuse of process by INEC officials.

This, it said, is urgently needed to identify challenges and recommendations towards repairing the damaged credibility of Nigeria’s electoral process.

Situation Room calls on INEC to take the lead in pushing for reforms to restore faith in the election process.
