Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel crashes, unharmed, released from hospital after tests

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel crashed his new Ferrari S90 car into the tyre wall due to ‘mechanical fault’.  

The German driver had racked up 40 laps and posted the second quickest time before crashing his car into the barrier.

Vettel emerged unscathed from the crash, as he got out of his car and walked away from the accident but sent to the hospital for precautionary tests.

A recovery truck removed the vehicle of the track, following a third red flag of the morning session in which Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz also forced a stoppage.

The crash is a setback for Ferrari, who were the fastest during the first week of testing; their new Scuderia challenger, the SF 90 will be out of action for some time.
