UCL: Manchester City fan in critical condition following assault in Germany

A Manchester City fan is in critical condition following an alleged assault after their thrilling 3-2 win over Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

City announced that they are working with Greater Manchester Police and German Police to get more information about the incident while the club’s staff have stayed back in Germany to support the family of the injured City fan.

The incident brings memories of the awful attack Liverpool supporter, Sean Cox suffered in the hands of a Roma fan which has left him with brain injuries.

City have asked anyone with information regards the assault to contact the police.
