The Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole says it has destroyed a Boko Haram terrorist camp at a settlement called Arboko in Borno State.
The operation was conducted while an Air Force alpha jet surveillance plane was providing close air support to troops of the 82 Brigade Nigerian Army.
The surveillance plane had spotted a group of terrorists in Arboko during the operation and the alpha jet was deployed to engage their camp with rocket fire.
The bombing degraded their structures and eliminated several fighters.
Air Force spokesman, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said in a statement that the service will intensify its operations in the North-East to completely destroy elements of the terror group.
