Chelsea yet again suffered another loss as Maurizio Sarri’s reign is thrown into deeper crisis.
Manchester United had to bounce back from a disappointing loss under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the UEFA champions league against Paris Saint Germain as they defeated Chelsea by two goals to nil to set up a last-eight tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Maurizio Sarri said his team played “confused football” as they slumped tamely to another damaging defeat.
The Chelsea fans turned their backs on Sarri and mocked his ‘Sarri-ball’ philosophy, they jeered at his substitutions and, they also demanded the return of Frank Lampard as manager, and joined United’s fans in chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning”.
