Former Governor of Cross River State and Social Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Donald Duke, says Nigeria needs to embrace electronic voting.
He said a lot of unnecessary expense and delay will be avoided if modern technology is applied to the country’s electoral process.
Duke said technology can solve all the country’s electoral challenges if the Federal Government does the right thing in partnership with telecommunication companies.
He said manual conduct of elections in the 21st century for a country as large as Nigeria is unthinkable.
The SDP’s presidential candidate called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure the rescheduled polls are free, fair, and credible.
