The
main teacher’s union seem bent on standing their ground if the
president does not heed to their demands and are already prepared for

The
public sector unions are demanding an increase in their wages and
asking to be paid in U.S. dollars, after an economic crisis that has
seen the worst of Zimbabwe’s economy since president Mnangagwa assumed
power.
“Today is the last meeting but we have already made a
decision. We are talking to our constituency because we want this strike
to have an impact,” Thomas Muzondo, the deputy president of the
Zimbabwe Teachers Association (ZIMTA) said.
