African Nations Cup pushed back a week for Ramadan

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the rescheduling of the Finals for the 2019 African Nations Cup slated to hold in Egypt.

This decision is reportedly taken to allow players rest after the observation of the Ramadan by the Muslims which is likely to hold between May 5 and June 4.

According to media reports, the date rescheduling was called for by the Muslim North African Nations including Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria.

The AFCON 2019 tournament is billed to kick-off between June 21 and July 19.
