President Buhari has sworn in Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed as the acting CJN, just after suspending Justice Walter Onnoghen from the position as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The President said the suspension takes immediate effect pending the completion of Onnoghen’s trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal is completed.
Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed hails from Bauchi state. He is the most senior justice of the Supreme Court.
