U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, says the forthcoming general election in Nigeria is not a matter of life and death, but about the future of the country.
Speaking after he held a private meeting with Governor Nyesom Wike on Wednesday, Ambassador Symington said the whole world is looking up to a free and credible election that will not only define the future of Nigeria but the rest of the world.
While urging relevant institutions in the country to line up behind what is right, the U.S. envoy also spoke on the need for a violence-free general election saying that the votes of the people must be allowed to count.
