Ahead of the February 16 and March 2 elections, teachers in Katsina State have joined the queue in drumming support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Masari.
The teachers gave their support at a rally held at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium Katsina, North-West Nigeria.
The teacher’s associations include those under the All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS, Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT, Association of Deployed Teachers from Ministries to Classrooms, N- Power and S- Power teachers and forum for education secretaries among others.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Masari said his administration will continue to do more in the area of education and wondered why some persons list a prompt payment of salaries as an achievement.
The state first Vice Chairman of ANCOPSS, Shehu Garba, said the teachers are in full support of both President Buhari and Governor Masari due to their giant strides in the education sector.
