The Nigerian Army has launched exercise “Egwu-Eke Three”, otherwise called “Python Dance”, in Abuja, as part of efforts to guarantee security in the coming general elections.
The exercise was launched at the operational step-up unit in Kuje, where the Commander of the Guards Brigade noted that soldiers will be deployed to assist the Police and other Para-military services in providing security during the election.
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, noted that as the nation’s capital city, it is important to ensure there is no breakdown of law and order, before, during, and after the polls.
The third edition of exercise python dance is being conducted nationwide for the first time, to provide security during Nigeria’s elections.
