The FA has charged Crystal Palace’s goalkeeper, Wayne Hennesey over allegations he made a Nazi salute during a team photograph earlier this month.

The controversial group photograph in question shows Hennessey with an arm raised and a hand over his mouth, which resulted in a lot of backlashes.

Although the Welshman claimed the gesture’s resemblance to a Nazi salute was absolutely coincidental, the FA has charged him of breaching its Rule E3 which states that players “shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute”.

He has until January 31st to respond to the charge.
