The Federal High Court, Abuja has dismissed a suit challenging the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Osun held on July 20, 2018.
The suit filed by Kunle Adegoke, was challenging the emergence of Isiaka Oyetola as the candidate of the party in the election held in September 2018.
In a judgment delivered on Friday, Justice Inyang Ekwo dismissed the suit for lacking in merit.
Mr. Adegoke had in 2018, approached the court praying for an order nullifying the APC primary election conducted through the direct primary method in Osogbo.
Kunle Adegoke, who came 8th among the nine aspirants that contested the primary election, told the court that the 1999 Constitution, Electoral Act 2010 and the APC Guidelines were breached by the Ovie Omo-Agege-led Electoral Panel.
