The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the standard bearer in the February 16 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, says his government will ensure proper utilization of both human and natural resources that abound in Niger State for the economic empowerment of the people.
He made the promise while addressing the crowd that gathered at Minna Polo Ground for the PDP presidential campaign rally in Niger State North Central Nigeria.
It was a triumphant entry for the former Vice President and members of his campaign team to Minna the Niger State capital.
Right from the Maikunkele Airport in Minna, stood an endless stream of people who suspended their businesses to welcome the man they believe will bring an end to their problems.
The PDP presidential candidate told the people in clear terms that no citizen of Nigeria will be idle if he becomes the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Other speakers at the rally, including the party’s governorship candidate, Umar Nasko, promised to empower women and youths through industrialization.
The PDP presidential candidate also visited the Abdullahi Kure International Market that was gutted by fire to sympathize with the people whose goods, worth millions of naira, were destroyed.
