Train Collision in South Africa kills three, hundreds injured

Metrorail spokesperson, Lilian Mofokeng has said at least three people have been killed and hundreds injured on Tuesday when two trains collided in the South African capital Pretoria.

She said there are still people trapped under the train, and officials and emergency services are trying to reach them.

South Africa is one of few African countries that has a very functional rail system. The incidence of train accidents has been recorded once a while over the years.
