Cleveland Cavaliers have waived guard Patrick McCaw, just a week after signing him to a two-year, $6m non-guaranteed deal.
The 23-year old played thrice for the Cavs but could not convince them to keep him on their roster at a prorated $3m for the rest of the season.
McCaw, who was the 38th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, averaged 4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 57 games last season.
Meanwhile, in a move to replace McCaw, the Cavaliers have signed guard, Cameron Payne to a 10-day contract.
