ATP WORLD TEAM CUP

The inaugural ATP World Team Cup scheduled to hold next year January will have Sydney and Brisbane as two of its three host cities, with more than 100 players competing for $15m prize money.

The event consists of 24 nations competing, with 750 ranking points available. Brisbane and a third venue which is yet to be revealed will host the round-robin games while the Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney will host the final of the new ATP World Team Cup.

The tournament will be played over ten days, from the 3rd to the 12th of January and will be a tune-up for the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open.

The existing Brisbane International will from 2020, be a women-only event. The WTA is locked in extensive talks with Tennis Australia for exciting new concepts for women’s tennis, possibly a WTA Cup.
