World number one, Novak Djokovic survived a huge scare from Marton Fucsovics to make it through to the quarterfinals of the Qatar Open following a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
The Serbian who is a two-time winner at the event, struggled in the first two sets, losing the first and having to dig deep to win the second as he struggled with Fucsovic’s movement and shot-plays, before finding his range in the third set.
Djokovic is on course to meet three-time grand slam winner, Stan Wawrinka in the semi-finals after the Swiss defeated Chile’s Nicolas Jarry 6-4,7-6(7/3).
