Michael Van Gerwen beats Anderson makes Darts World Championship final

Michael Van Gerwen eased past Gary Anderson in an astonishing display to make the final of the Darts World Championship.

Both Gary Anderson and Michale van Gerwen are two-time world champions and the contest was expected to serve a classic but van Gerwen triumphed in a one-sided battle having averaged 104.76, fired 11 maximums and averaged fifty per cent on his doubles for a 6-1 win over Gary Anderson.

Michael Van Gerwen goes on the face Michael Smith in the final for the Sid Waddell Trophy, which is a repeat of the 2018 Premier League final which MVG won.
