Jose Gomes to be appointed Reading Manager

Former Rio Ave coach, Jose Gomes is set to sign a contract later today to become the new coach of Reading.

The 48-year old was in charge of Portuguese side, Rio Ave for the last time on Wednesday in the Portuguese Cup, which they lost to Sporting Lisbon.

With Reading failing to reach an agreement with Luis Castro, Gomes became the favourite and will succeed Paul Clement at Reading, who got sacked two weeks ago.
