Asian Cup: South Korea call up Heung-Min Son

South Korea have called up Tottenham Hotspur’s forward, Heung-Min Son for the AFC Asian Cup in January.

The 2019 Asian Cup will take place in United Arab Emirates and will feature 24 teams competing from across Asia from the 5th of January to the 1st of February, 2019. South Korea has been drawn in Group C alongside China, Philippines and Kyrgyzstan. 

Son, South Korea’s captain will join up with the South Korean squad after Spurs’ match against United on the 13th of January, just in time for his side’s last group stage match.

Son could miss league games against Fulham, Watford and Newcastle, should South Korea make it through to the final.
