Former Manchester United defender, Jaap Stam has backed calls for Tottenham Hotspur’s coach, Mauricio Pochettino to be the next manager of Manchester United.
Pochettino’s experience with the English game having worked with Southampton and Tottenham, his ability to build a team and its youngsters and playing attractive football are reasons Stam gave for his support for Poch to be United’s next coach.
He has also backed the appointment of his former teammate, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the interim, specifying on his man-management as being essential as well as providing a ‘feeling of freedom’ to get the team going.
With United interested in appointing a technical director for the first time, Stam has lauded the decision, calling it a wise move.
