FA Women’s Super League: City confirm Nadia Nadim exit on January 1

Manchester City has confirmed it has terminated the contract of Danish striker, Nadia Nadim who joined the club in January. Nadim, who was born in Afghanistan, made 28 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals in all competitions.

Having struggled with playing time, she handed in a transfer request in June and City have now confirmed it has granted her desire to leave by terminating her contract.

The 30-year old will become a free agent on the 1st of January, 2019. Nadia Nadim previously played for Portland Thorns in the USA and has scored 29 goals in 85 matches for the Danish national team.
