Nigeria Super Sand Eagles are through to the finals of the Africa Beach Nations Cup after they beat host Egypt seven- six to advance to Friday’s final.
The victory means Nigeria has booked a place in the World Cup billed for Paraguay in 2019.
The two-time champions are looking for a third continental title and this victory will serve as a morale booster for the Super Sand Eagles going into the final match.
Abu Azeez scored his 100th goal to open the scoring for Nigeria as the Eagles took their lead to the end of the first period before the Egyptians leveled five-all in the third period of the game as the Eagles converted a defensive error to make it 6-7 in the final minutes of the match.
Nigeria and Egypt will know their final and third place opponents on Thursday.
