Arsenal and England midfielder and Vice-captain, Jordan Nobbs is set to miss out on the 2019 Women’s World Cup after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.
The 25-year-old suffered the injury during Arsenal Ladies’ four nil win at Everton on the 18th of November.
Nobbs, who had surgery on Monday, will miss the rest of the season with the World Cup starting in France on 7 June.
Phil Neville’s Lionesses will go into the World Cup as one of the
Nobbs did not play in that tournament because of a hamstring injury but was part of the squad.
