Marriott Starwood hacked, 500 Million Credit Cards Intel at Risk

Marriott International (MAR.O) have disclosed that hackers have carted away with about 500 million records from its Starwood Hotels reservation system.

It stated that the attack began four years ago, with the risk of exposure to customers’ personal data including credit card information.

The Shares of the company plummeted by 4 percent, for a premarket trading at $117.

Although not sure, Marriott said the compromised data includes passport details, phone numbers, and email addresses for about 327 million guests, as the security breach of information has been on since 2014 and they only got to find out on the 8th of September.
