University of Ibadan International School reopens after 1 Week

The University of Ibadan International School was shut down last week after a controversial series of crises by some parents over the use of hijab by the female Muslim students.

At the reopening today, security men were seen stationed at the entrance, directing parents to park their cars outside and granting entrance to only the Children in a bid to maintain orderliness.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) University of Ibadan, Yinka Aderinto, in a statement, maintained that the decision and outcome of the meeting of the Board of Governors of the School should be respected by all.

He added that and any individual or group that may seek to effect a change in the dress code of the school should follow the due process of requesting for such.

He concluded by stating that the final decision on any of such changes still lies at the sole discretion of the Board of Governors.
