Barcelona has confirmed that midfielder, Ivan Rakitic is out of the Athletico Madrid clash, having suffered a hamstring injury.
The Croatian picked up the injury in the 67th minute of his nation’s UEFA Nations League clash against Spain.
Rakitic returned to the Camp Nou and upon subsequent medical examinations, he was diagnosed with a strained semimembranosus muscle in his right hamstring.
He is expected to spend 2 to 3 weeks on the sidelines.
